Joyce Carlson M.D., Ph.D. Associate professor
is currently head of Clinical Chemistry and Pharmacology at the University Hospital in Lund, Sweden. She has been active in the Swedish National Biobanking Program, and has coordinated the biobanking LIMS within a 6th framework EU project Cancer Control and Prevention using Registries and Biobanks. As head of the DNA Extraction Facility at Malmö University Hospital, UMAS, she managed 90 000 DNA extractions from various sample types, and the infrastructural organisation of more than 50 individual sample collections. She has been a frequent speaker at the Informa convention series on Biobanks and Biorepositories and is currently organising new clinical sample collections for improved quality control and development within laboratory medicine. |
