Laboratories in change - a human perspective
Esa Saarinen is a philosopher, famed public speaker, media figure and corporate coach who has worked extensively with Finnish companies such as Nokia. As Professor at Helsinki University of Technology, Systems Analysis Laboratory, he has developed the concept of systems intelligence, as a means of combining engineering and humanistic approaches to the understading of human behaviour. |
Mindset is everything - that largely invisible frame with which we interact, react, attack and deny but also connect and care. The key to change is in finding ways to bond with others more generously and more positivively, in order to generate upwards pointing spirals of flourishing together. There is so much more in people than meets the eye - more that is good. Systems intelligence is the ability to work with others and with one's environment as a whole from the point of view of uplift and positive change. This points to human capabilities that combine hard expertize with soft competencies with a keen eye to the small changes that trigger major impact. |
