Software Point to deliver a LIMS for METLA (Finnish Forest Research Institute)

METLA has signed an agreement with Software Point for purchase of an extensive LIMS system to support their operations. The delivery will be based on LabVantage Sapphire LIMS. "The delivery is follow up of an agremeent Software Point signed with EVIRA (Finnish Food Safety Authority) in January this year." comments Marjut Pokkinen business area director at Software Point.

Metla's modern and well-equipped laboratory facilities provide a valuable research asset to forest research. The central laboratory in Vantaa and the regional laboratories in the research stations and centres provide a wide range of analysis and other services. The analysis services include different methods of bioscience, e.g., inorganic and organic chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, molecular biology, tree physiology and anatomy, and physics. The central laboratory is an accredited laboratory fulfilling the international requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
