TasteBOSS

TasteBOSS is a software package developed by Software Point especially for planning the work of sensory panels and for analysing the results statistically. Feedback from our customers prove that by using TasteBOSS laboratories can save several hours of daily routine work and will get the results regarding product release to production much faster than before.

TasteBOSS was developed in close cooperation with end-users, providing the expertise in sensory methods and knowledge on sensory activities in food industry and research. The development work has focused on providing a user-friendly interface and flexible support for the daily routines of a sensory analysis laboratory. You can also make a report or a chart of a sensory test with a single click after the session. TasteBOSS can be configured to interfaces with your LIMS database.

TasteBOSS contains internationally approved scaling and discriminative methods with a user interface that is carefully designed to be reliable during sensory assessment. TasteBOSS was designed to follow good laboratory practices in sensory evaluation by facilitating either a full randomization of sample presentation order and sample codes or by allowing a custom scheme of sample order and codes to be used. Assessors are given exactly as much information as necessary, without the need to decide beforehand which of the accepted assessors will be taking part in a specific sensory session. Evaluation trends of the products and panelist can be plotted. TasteBOSS can even be used for training panelists as individual performance can be monitored.
